Vooks is now free for homeschoolers!! Awesome free books plus lots of free resources!

I was delightfully surprised when I came across this one. I often come across or have people share with me "free" resources or programs that are either not free or they don't have a lot or they just don't fit with our current educational path (which is a mixture of schooled and unschooled). I plan to get into that much more in depth a bit later in. (**Hint, hint... That is my reminder to myself)

This is wonderful, especially for those days that the kiddos are not cooperating in your planned curriculum or even a day that you might have forgotten to gather all the required materials necessary for that days lesson plans. Yes! This has happened to me! 

They offer many book titles that you watch on video. The best part!! Each book comes with multiple resources. They have already done the work for you! We watched the Curious George "Thanksgiving" book recently. In the resources section I found: activity ideas, a book chat worksheet, pause and ponder page (I absolutely love this! It gives you ideas of exactly where to pause the video and questions to ask for comprehension and engagement), a printable coloring sheet, and several more fun pages and activities. Link to join for free (here)
